Head Start

Our parent-child angel clay session is featured in the latest issue of Young Parents magazine. We are currently happy to host weekly parent-child sessions every Saturday.

Thanks Wai Yin for that wonderful quote.

No Kidding

My friend paused by with his family. His two children, Jonathan and Joan, have been to the angel-clay sessions and have enjoyed themselves. While the adults chatted, they explored the shop and was soon intrigued by the special paper punchers.

What amazed me was how quickly Jonathan thought about making a banner with a string of bears as soon as he punched the first one and was drawing in the details. And in no time at all, he created this proto-type. Notice how he has given different eyes to each bear. I am amazed and amused.

Joan, his younger sister in Primary 1, also made a lovely little card for me. Her dad and I share the same birthday and she was so sweet to make this card especially for me.

These kids are such delights.

I have been working hard at getting more publicity for Pauseability. Don't seem to be making much headway. Did have a pleasant surprise when my friend told me that Pauseability has been featured on CityPatrol. Thanks CityPatrol Officers! Check it out!

For the rest of you who are reading this blog, here's my desperate plea: pass the word around about Pauseability to 10 people in the next week. Ahem, and if you have yet to find time to pause by, you deserve to reward yourself with a trip. Hee!

Getting Pausey

My first attempt in trying out parent-child bonding sessions turned out fairly well, thanks to the help from wonderful people like Patsy and Aunt Maureen. It was wonderful seeing the good time these family had together. I am seriously thinking of doing this again, either just during the school holidays or even on a monthly basis.

I have also been slowly putting together Pausey Crafts through which I sell handcrafted creations. Starting with a modest 3 categories of products, I have created a small corner in the shop and even put up an online catalog. Hope to be able to do shipping so that we can have a full-fledge online shop.

Quick Time?

If you have not already heard, Singaporeans have come out tops in walking speed in a British research. So, we literally have a fast pace of life here. I am known to walk fast, and now knowing that I live among fast walkers, that must mean I walk way too fast. According to the head researcher Prof Wiseman (I am not making this up! Wise man!), "This simple measurement provides a significant insight into the physical and social health of a city." That should stop us in our tracks even if only for a minute.

Well, I also tried my hands at creating simple video from still shots of my handiwork with angel clay. Do give your comments.

When my shop opens, you must come and try out this clay. It is smooth, clean and light - absolutely delightful to play with.
