Keep Calm
Many would be very familiar with this popular poster which has appeared in many design and craft sites and blogs. There is something about the simplicity and directness of the design and words that appeals to many.
It is interesting to read in this BBC article that this was a war poster that was printed but never used. And that there are 2 other similar posters.
Carry on.

IF - Subtract
One soon learns that neither taking one foot off nor tiptoeing is going to subtract the reading on the scale.

IF - Intricate
The beading used for those exquisite Peranakan slippers is really intricate handwork.
For this week's Illustration Friday theme.
Here's what the slippers look like.

Paper Silhouette
I was given a big bagful of postcards and been wondering what to do with them. This is one of the latest experiment. As the profile was created on the reverse side, it was a pleasant surprise to see how the original images took on a different meaning when the silhouettes were done. Creativity by accident?
I love trees and often think of them as dancers frozen in their own elegant pose. This love is made into a series of pop-up cards recently.
Owl about you?
