Paper Mosaic with Vicki

We had a wonderful class with Vicki learning how to put a paper mosaic ATC together. She provided all the materials and guided us patiently.

Don't these look gorgeous?

It was also a good time to catch up with the rest over a meal while we waited for our work to dry.

All in all, a lovely evening of creative pause.

A*Live @ Bishan Library Dec 2011

It was another creative and colourful Artist Trading Card session at Bishan Library.



Mdm Au presented her handmade quilling Christmas ornament to the library on behalf of the group.



The group was really focused when it came time to paint their watercolour masterpieces.



The next session in January will be on 19 Jan 2012 (as an exception, it will be on the 3rd Thursday).

The theme for next month is "Simply Red".

ATC at Bishan Library Nov 2011

Another fun get-together. This time we tried out Ed Emberley's Picture Pie, creating using stickers of circles, squares and so on.



Look at the wonderful works of art!

There were also beautiful new ATCs, including those with this month's theme of music.



Next month's theme is Geometry - including snowflakes, kaleidoscopes, reflections and use of basic shapes.

We meet again on 8 Dec 2011.

Sketchwalk at Duxton

The Urban Sketchers Singapore book and exhibition was launched last night and this morning, there was a special sketchwalk. We went sketching at nearby Duxton.



I completed 3 sketches and the last one was given some limelight at the end of the sketchwalk. Pleasantly surprised.



The exhibition is at the URA Centre till 24 Dec, and I hear that the book is selling like hotcakes.

ATC at Bishan Library Oct 2011

We discovered a few interesting things from tonight's ATC session.

Firstly, that packing tape is really rather sticky. It was neat trying out packing tape transfer.



And then we learnt a few trivial about snowflakes, ostriches. drunken ants, man's hair parting and longetivity and more. These came from the ATCs that were based on this month's theme - Trivial Pursuit.




Next session is on 10 Nov, and the theme - Music.

Conductorcise: Introduction

Finally am able to put together an introductory Conductorcise class which will happen on 24 Sep (Sat).

It will be at Harmony Room (how apt!) of the Central Singapore Joint Social Service Centre just next to the Braddell MRT station (Exit B).

Two sessions starting at 9 am and 10 am and each session can take a max of 10 persons.

4th annual ATC exhibition - wow, almost unbelieveable that it has been 4 years!

ATC on Parade 2011 starts next Thu, 18 Aug at Serangoon Public Library. It then moves back to Bishan Public Library from 2 to 22 Sep.

Everyone will be bringing down their submissions during this month's ATC session on 11 Aug. It will be so exciting to see everybody's creative work.
