In the good old days, Fried Hokkien Mee is packed in fragrant opei leaves (soft palm bark). Some hawkers today would still line their plates with these leaves and charge extra for that touch of nostalgia

It was so amusing to see how this very eco-friendly practice has been updated by the people at VerTerra.

These opei dinnerware made from fallen palm leaves and water sure look great, don't they?
