The morning I saw this week's
Illustration Friday's theme Breakfast, I read this interesting poem
This is Just to Say by William Carlos Williams.
Ellen Langer had this poem in her book
On Becoming an Artist and she says "To invest the mundane with meaning and beauty, and in so doing to make the world personal, is to live a personal renaissance."
Food for thought.

I love William carlos Williams and was commissioned to illustrate one of his poems long ago.
Wonderful choice!
Yes indeed - there is so much beauty in the so-called mundane, we spend so much time looking elsewhere and we tend to miss it. Wonderful job here by the way!
