A Little Letterpress Pleasure

I have been hoping to be able to try out letterpress printing and today at a workshop by The Gentlemen's Press I did.

It was great fun going through the drawers of types and composing something witty and worthy of print. It was also backbreaking work doing the layout (filling gaps with "furniture") and operating the press required some elbow grease too.

Seeing and touching (the oh-so-retro debossed feel!) the final print makes it all worthwhile.
