My Neighbour Totoro is one of my favourite animation. This masterpiece by Hayao Miyazaki is as beautiful as it is powerful. In Chinese, the main character Totoro is also called "Long Mao" or Dragon Cat.
To support a fund that is for saving the forest that inspired Totoro, artists were asked "to pause and give some thought to the film. How did it inspire them? How did they feel after it ..." The collection is simply wonderful to look at.
Hayao Miyazaki's latest animation movie opens in Japan on 19 July - Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea. It is a fairytale about a goldfish that wants to become a human being.
